Microcrystalline wax

Microcrystalline waxes are obtained during the lube oil refining process. In contrast to the well-known paraffin waxes, which contain mainly straight chain alkanes, micro waxes consist mostly of isoparaffinic (branched) hydrocarbons.

Industries

Microcrystalline waxes are used in numerous applications: These include cosmetics, industrial paints, adhesives, corrosion protection, rubber and tire, crayons, textiles, paper and foodstuffs like chewing gum and cheese wax.
